Premier Book Awards for Fiction Awards and Non-Fiction Awards

We are now accepting entries for the 2010 Premier Book Awards!

Enter before April 17, 2010 to take advantage of our Early Bird discount and Win the Recognition Your Book Deserves!

Premier Book Awards were established to recognize meritorious works by writers who self-published or had their books published by a small press or independent book publisher. POD books are welcome.

Winning an award for literary excellence can have many positive rewards. Not only does it provide personal satisfaction and prestige, awards can influence reviewers and buyers. When faced with two competing titles, buyers will invariably select the one that has won an award. Being able to introduce yourself as an "Award Winning Author" gives you and your book instant credibility.

All entries become the property of Premier Book Awards. Understandably authors and publishers, who have invested so much time and effort into their titles, are concerned about the fate of their submissions when the contest is concluded. None of the entries will be sold or destroyed. Rather, we believe donating the books to libraries that do not have the budget to adequately increase their inventory will provide the books and authors valuable additional exposure. Also a number of the books will be donated to Veteran's organizations and hospitals..

Eligibility

Premier Book Awards is open to selected (see categories below) book length fiction and non-fiction titles with a 2009 or 2010 copyright, published in the English language and targeted for the North American market. More than one title and/or one title in more than one category may be submitted. Books that have racist or hate themes will not be accepted. Gay/Lesbian fiction will not be accepted.

Criteria

Submissions will be judged on editorial excellence, engrossing subject matter, originality, accuracy, and professional packaging.

Awards

A Grand Prize will be awarded to the book, fiction or non-fiction, which the judges choose as the Premier Book of the Year. The Grand Prize Winner will receive $500, a framed certificate of achievement, and Premier Book Awards will distribute a press release to all major media announcing the achievement.

For both the Fiction Awards and the Non-Fiction Awards, a first, second, and third place winner will be chosen in each category.

First place winners in each category will receive a framed certificate of achievement and Premier Book Awards will distribute a press release to all major media announcing the award.

Second and third place winners in each category will receive a certificate of achievement suitable for framing.

We reserve the right to withhold an award in any category should submissions not meet the editorial and production criteria mentioned above.
